Wow! I'm very glad to see that the IE stage III's do not slam your car all the way to the ground, as those are the springs I plan to buy. I want my car lowered, but not completely slammed.

      Looks great man, very nice.

The front still looks to high for my tastes but thats just my cosmetic opinion. The reason for getting stiffer suspension is for better handling so its not a big issue. I think its mandatory for every 318is owner to own an "is" lip. Hint Hint. Your interior is sooooo clean! Nice. Ronal LSs would be nice or some Euro weaves or possibly Kosei K1s(all inexpensive wheels for the E30 owners, haha) That would make your car more appealing than it already is.

True, but I will want my car to be a bit lower than that in front, and maybe in the back too. I probably won't have spring pads.

No spring pads in the front and you're good to go.

How much more of a drop would removing the stock spring pads be? How thick are they?

I'm a little worried now because I was planning to get H&R's except now that I see that IE Stage 3 only drop it that much, H&R's will drop it even less... :(

                          To answer some questions:

Red tails: A few coats of some Tesors Candy Apple red and a shot of Testors Gloss Clear Coat. (I need to get another coat on the driver's sometime.)

Height: Yeah, it's a bit high, but I was looking more at the suspension capabilities. The handling is awesome, I couldn't ask for better (must get new tires though). I might consider taking the pads out after I see what it looks like with the new rims on it. Right now, I'm not loosing any sleep over the height, it's low enough for me. ;)

Thanks for the complements, it was an interesting experience getting all the new stuff in there. However, I am loving the result.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

                            hamann318is,

I think the drop is almost perfect. Once you get a IS lip, and have bigger wheels to fill out the fender well, it would look sweet. The drop of the IE springs w/ spring pads look about the same as my car right now -> H&Rs w/o spring pads.
A slammed car is sweet, but a drop like yours looks good and is much more practical too.

I was talking about the post before mine saying that he should take the front spring pads out. Its not going to do a LOT but it will help. Still confused?
