    FREEEEEE (Warning: American POS content)

Just picked this beauty up last week, thought some jeep fans out there might enjoy it.

I paid nothing for it! Only needs new rear main seal, valve cover gasket, and spark plug wires (already done). Paint is done for.

    >1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo
    >4.0L I6 MPI "Power Tech HO" (High Output)
    >190 hp @ 4750 rpm, 220 ft lb @ 4,000 rpm
    >3,386 lbs
    >3.55 Rear Diff
    >AW4 - 4 speed automatic, electronically controlled - manufactured by Aisin (with Power/Comfort selector button)
    >NP231 Transfer Case - "Command-Trac" part-time only - 2.72:1 ratio low range

    On to the Pics:

    We love bricks in Pennsylvania!

Bonus pic, the weird cross dresser that is always hanging out in front of my building. Today he was sporting a lovely two-piece floral print bathing suit.

Fcuk! That is EXACTLY what I wanna get for the GF to go fishing/camping whatever in.

She takes my work van, always tells me she will clean it and never ever has.

Plus she is scurred to drive in our HUGE snowstorms that sometimes last for 3 or 4 days.

    Great score, man.

I was actually thinking of investing in some DRs for it, black centers with polished lips would look hot. 16x8 with some 30"s will give it that flush look I want, even at stock ride height.

Before I get to that it's getting rattled canned army green with black trim, and I'm ordering some bilstein HDs for it. If I jounce the front end it goes through 4 full strokes before it finally settles. The shocks are starting to make the front tires cup a lot.

I think it may be faster than my old vert was, with somehow better gas mileage?

No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan.

Nice, I love XJ's. My first car was an '86 Cherokee (last year for AMC Jeeps). It had the POS carbureted GM 2.8 v6 which sucked, but I beat the bag out of that thing for 10 years and it never complained. Finally had to scrap it because of rust.

The guy who worked with me on the tranny/clutch made me an offer I couldn't refuse. He sold his scion TC and fell in love with my bimmer.

I wouldn't have taken it if my brother in law hadn't offered me his old jeep.

I'm saving up for an e28 anyway :D

You're still going to see it driving around here in the winter, and I told him to sign up on R3V, but I haven't heard from him lately.

I had an XJ and a ZJ. I loved them both. Treat the transmission well and the motor will last forever. It will nickle and dime you for the rest of its life but besides the trans, its never anything catastrophic.
