Rumor has it, Bill Arnold did it a few years back to a cabrio. I may have to contact him and pick his brain. Although there is something to be said for the reliability and lower maintenance of the M50/S50 motors.
You just hit the nail on the head why an S50 swap is the best choice.

      You mean this car?

I saw it at his shop about a year ago.

Ryan, like always, you've done it right and it looks good. I still remember how your car looked a few years back when it was 10" high on bottlecaps...sure came a long way :D

Oh my goodness. That is sweet. I love everything you have donw to the car. NO TURBO I love euro headers though. And an E30 M3 firewall cover would make it really clean as well so you could put all those wires into it. I know I have seen it done with the E30 M3 with the S50 motors. Again looks awsome Job well well done.

Ryan my dear homosexual friend, if you wanted to only appease UNCILL you could of used this new feature you might of overlooked on mesage boards called private messaging, for reasons other then to offer your sexual favors to members on this board.

Ryan, very clean install, I like the absence of wires and the extra little plugs..
Have fun with all your new power, your ride now has the power to back up its visual bite. A turbo, no. Euro headers? Yes :D
Did you run the remote booster setup?
Dude I am sure he worked over time at the stewart house doing extra chores. because looks like it was not a lot of hard work getting that clean install. So i would suggest you SIT IT IN THE CORNER WITH THE DUNCE HAT ON.

e30owner, your gonna tell me how hard s50 swaps are?
                    Please son, dont start.

                    Edit:
Even if he had most of the work done in the shop, he still has every right to be proud of it.
You didnt build your entire e30, yet you are still proud of it.

Since we are on the editing mode:
                    V8s have been done.

but it still has no correlation on whether he is allowed to show his car off or not, which is why I chimed in.

Jerseymidget, a v8 wouldnt be innovating. Its also been done, so has a M54, a v12, and even Chevy and Ford motors. Innovating would be a rotary, put a rotary into your M3.

As for PM he asked me to post pics, if he wanted me to send them direct he could have just asked over aim or email. Besides, you know you wanted this thread as much as he did, probably more considering you have looked at it more than he has and posted more.

Jerseymidged, dont worry. This is the only thing I have paid for and most likely will be one of the few. If I had an engine hoist/leveler and a landlord that didnt allow engine swaps I would have done it myself. Although the subframe rebuild sucked I am much happier knowing every detail about the work, you should try it sometime. When taking turn 1 or turn 10 at 70mph I feel a lot better knowing that my mounts have locktite and are down by the exact torque measurements with new locknuts. Not to mention the $1000 I saved in labor just by giving up one weekend.

I dont get an allowance, since you jock me so hard Avi why not hook me up with some cash?
                                Im now E30less.
