to me it feels the same as it did before hand. perhaps a bit more smooth. But I have always thought a silver car deserved a black interior......

Got a bit more finished up on the car today. Here is the final look of the door panel, I painted the armrest and door pocket the dark gray color, not quite sure if I like it but worst case I can just paint it black.

I only remembered to take one photo at the end of one can, I used two cans put the passenger side carpet is now black.

The best find of the day, I was going thru my stash of BMW parts my dad dropped off to me, I have boxes and boxes to go thru, the best one he dropped off to me was this:

From the tag mounted on the spoiler is says: BMW Heckspoiler Type 196038
as luck would have it I was planning on eventually looking for one of these, and I have the old decklid to make a template from.

okay, gonna flood some pics again. finished up passenger side door panel respray and carpet dying. My kit from Lamin-x came in and I just had to go ahead and install it. Yeah I know, alot of FOGS!

as compared to the other side, think it looks MUCH better.

Then on to the lights, went on very easily....

            Hope you like!

I like the interior but you gotta lose those extra fogs because they're killing the look :(

how does the carpet feel after using the duplicolor? is it stiff/crunchy? did you comb/brush the fibers with a bristle brush aftewards, etc?

I'm in the process of trying to decide if I want to do this or not. I did my rear parcel shelf and am leaning towards no after that endeavour.

+1 on ditching the extra fogs.

yeah, may go that route, figured I would put them up for discussions sake.

I did use a brush on the carpet to help with matting. it is a bit hard/crunchy however you wanna call it but I will be using all weather mats for the car and seeing how the carpet was in terrible shape this was the cheapest alt for a clean look. Since this is a DD a new carpet set was out of the question. most of the foot traffice will be on the mats........

You were asking if a 320i gearbox will bolt up to your m20. Well the good news is a 320i has an M20 in it :) otherwise keep up the good work.

Today got the drivers side door cards painted and carpet dyed. I made my template and nervously drilled holes in a perfectly good trunk lid for my lip spoiler, all my careful measurements from the other lid paid off, fit perfect first try! Now to sand it down and paint it black.
