i think you could drift alot better if your car didnt look like hell. does your engine have alot of turbo lag? just seems like all your spins are when your turbo would kick in but i think i recall you giving Erick drifting advice. yeah.......

but uh if i were you id learn better throttle control seems like you dump the gas and try to recover. dont work never lift haha but i respect any e30 drifter.

lol I suck for several reasons:

#1 I haven't drifted this car in 2.5 years. I've done stock E30s and S13s here and there but not for more than a run or two.

#2 My steering rack wasn't aligned after a bunch of mods and runs some random amount of toe in

#3 My other alignment settings are off since I forgot to set camber/caster on the passenger's side when I put in the new strut

#4 My sway bars in the front are some random solid setup where it links and unlinks randomly while the rear has dead bushings (hence my wtb ad). Look in video 3 around the 1:08 mark. I'm off throttle, break, steering, AND gas but the car keeps doing mini switch backs.

Getting the car to the track was a scramble to the absolute last second. It was a shake down for the motor, not the whole car. Aside from overheating, the motor did great. No real lag

        Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

That exhaust leak unfortunately is going to have to wait. Suspension fixes (as you can tell by the video) are paramount. After that, I'm going to add a flex pipe to the WG tube, redo the adapter so its more free flowing and doesn't leak, and maybe add a 45 degree vent tube for my crank case ventilation. Then maybe 15psi :)

Yeah, I can drift a stock eta on completely blown suspension with a peg leg better than that. And I'm not a "drifter". Blaming yourself as a mechanic doesnt cut it, if the suspension is there you as a driver should be able to compensate better than that. If the suspension was bad enough to make a decent drifter drive that poorly, then it is very dangerous and should never have been on the track in the first place.

I seriously dont mean any offense by what I posted. Just stating my opinion based on what I saw, my personal driving experience, and as a technician.

                        it's kind of like

"hey you fuckin douche, you suck at driving.. or at life in general you should go drive off a cliff and kill yourself, thats how fucking bad you suck.

but nothing personal, just calling it as i see it"

You should definately install a hydraulic handbrake in that. Looks like you could use it.

I am. lol. I stopped drifting after the 3rd run since the suspension was so dangerous. I mean... what do you do when your car does stuff you can't control?

I posted the vids more for proof of the motor working and not blowing up. That was the point of going to the event. Also, I don't care if people think I suck (or at least I try not to). I'll post video of the next event and we'll see how I improve.

Next event is july 19th. If you want to stay at my house the night before feel free. I have about 3 spare beds lol. If my car is in good working order by then, I'll let you drive it around (not on track).

I'm going to be on the mega skid pad to try to gain most of my skill back. I should post a vid of when I was good huh?
