Plain m50 (nv) is really not impressive (since you'll be upgrading from b25). Go m50vanos or look for m52. S50s are coming down in price too.

Why? Why do people always say cams (plural) when talking about the M20?

It is SOHC and seeing as you only have 1 cylinder head, that means 1 CAM.
