no wai, two 1983 cars being as old as one another. that blows my mind.

fyi, although the steering wheel looks funky, it is in fact insanely comfortable. They have the perfect place to rest your thumbs when driving.

I have never seen a fine spline one of these, only the coarse spline seen on the '83-84 533i/633csi.

Neat car, but looks like a ton of work. Best of luck getting started!

The car still hasn't made it home yet, but I did pull it out from where it had been sitting and got some better pictures. I also got all the loose parts for it and a cool set of 14'' wheels

might think i'm weird but I kinda like that steering wheel

i say keep all the goodies (bumpers, valance, wheels, steering wheel, lights, interior bits, etc) then get your $100 scrap for the car.

I think that would be the best way to go, it does need a lot of work

yeah if one of the two biggest issues wasnt present (body is bad, motor doesnt run) then it may be worth trying to save. but with both bad and it being a motor not really worth saving, i say forget it.

I Say if you really want to fix it up. Go for it as long as you gonna do it right. I like to see another E30 getting saved.
