So sorry to see the damage...My dad and I were right there when you were backing in on the golf course...I didn't have the heart to ask you if that just happened on your way down...I did go back to snap a quick pic - think that you had the only e30 touring there...
Looks like a really nice ride - good luck with the repairs.
I am getting my pics uploaded and will post a thread soon. Tons of Bimmers as well as pretty much anything else under the sun.
Glad that you otherwise enjoyed the event in my hometown.
Randy
Hi Randy - yes, it did happen at about 9:30 Sat. morning. no one was hurt, but it did put a damper on the week end. Left early Sunday morning - my heart wasn't really in the event afterwards...
Thanks,

Bummer about the touring.... What day were you at the Grand Prix? I was there Sat and would have liked to get some pics. It'll look better for next years event!
Hi Rob,
We were at the host hotel (Radisson) late Friday afternoon. Didn't get to Schenley Park until just after noon, Saturday morning - left about 6:00Pm. It was parked in the middle of all the 3 series cars. I didn't go to the event Sunday - drove home early Sunday morning

I did a quick search yesterday and came up with a number of hits that had long forms to fill out so they could get back to you 'whenever' .... i suspected that North American reply contact would just get binned on their side as in not worth the bother.
Thanks for the link ... I'll see if they have anything ... who knows ... maybe I can use them to fill an entire container full of neat Euro goodies.
Thanks again,

So, after 3.5 weeks, things are finally happening with my car. I went by the body shop today - they had started pulling the back out - the rear quarter popped back into place - very little work is needed to straighten it. I wish I had my camera, next time.
I got the estimate as well... are you sitting down .... $10,946.94 - those are Canadian dollars, and there's 13% taxes. Add about 4 weeks of rental car and it's about $13K+ claim. Parts are about 2.5 weeks away.
I'll keep posting as things progress'....

Actually, there was very little conflict w.r.t fixing the car. The insurance company out of New Jersey hired a local adjustor to review the estimate ... they even went down the route of trying to source used parts. Knowing there's only a hand full of Tourings in North America, I let them explore the option. It didn'y take them long to realize that there are no used parts for Wagons here.
I had more trouble getting the rental car ... since I was going to be waiting for the parts for so long, they didn't want to pay for a rental for so long.
My rental is an 09 Dodge Avenger ... total POS. I'll need theropy by the time my car's done
