i bet that fucking dash creeks and groans and rattles every time you hit a seam in the road. its probably held in place with sheet rock screws and double faced tapeComment

Dude it would be so much better if you had a cracked to hell e30 dash and really sweet e30 sport seats with huge tears on the bolsters! That would be far superior to what you have now.Comment

lol, blunt finally made it into the thread!!
Nah, its actually held in really well. I removed the brackets from the E36 and welded them in the E30. So the dash is mounted "like stock" and doesnt squeek, groan or rattle.sigpicComment

I wonder what the response to this car would have been like 5 years ago. I bet it would have been a lot different. I don't really like the way the E36 dash looks (E36 interiors always seemed cheap to me) but I think it's cool that you got all that stuff to work in the E30. One touch windows are one thing I'd love to have. I also like the speed sensing wipers.Comment

If that is you in your avatar...you look like even more of a douche than I already thought you were.Comment

lol, Envoking emotion is easy to do with my car.
I actually didnt like it at first. I was thinking of integrating the E36 stuff into teh E30 dash. Which would of been pretty neat. However teh E36 airbox was huge. So it was like stuffing a marshmellow into a piggybank.
I do plan on doing some more things to the dash that will make it feel a little more at home in teh E30. time will tell. But all in all, Its a vast improvement from what it was

an improvement indeed.
the only thing that irks me is that the mt2 valance appears to "dip" in the middle; huge gap in between it and the center of the bumper, but it meets up properly on the sides.
that, and your rear wheels are begging for some spacers.past:

I dont know if its an age thing with some of the opinions (i'm 26), but i said the exact same thing about the e46 when it came out. At the time i was driving an e36. Honestly, i feel that the feel of the e36 interior is good in quality compared to the e30. Also, i think its a very good transition from the e30 if you look at the lines and design, and even the e46 from the e36 (in design only), not quality ahah. Either way, i like each car to have its appropriete dash, but i'm not going to lie though... an e36 dash in an e30 is something i thought about when i was younger.

wow man thats not a fail!! thats sweet looks sexy!
Sorry, but E36 dash in an E30 = abject FAIL.
The E30 dash is one of the most definitive design points of the car. It's the best looking part of the interior, hands down. The design E36 dash does not fit the styling of the rest of the car whatsoever. It's far too rounded and sweeping. I would hate to drive that car, I would never feel like I was in an E30.
And that rattle-can flat black paint job? Even worse, I can't wait until that trend blows over.Comment

is that the stock rear valance? and are u able to use the anti-theft code to disable ignition?Comment

I liked my E36 interior, although I don't think the lines fit the E30 interior as well. Definately not a fail and I appreciate all of your hard work.Comment
