I would have no desire to drive that car. I hate E36 dashboards, and to put one in an E30 totally ruins the interior. I've seen one in person, and it looks awful.

Jesus Christ R3V is worse than BFC. Car looks awesome. E36 dash is much better looking than the e30.

Yep. He used the entire E36 wiring harness, iirc. He kept it full OBD-2. Basically, that car is a '96+ M3 re-bodied into an E30. I think that is part of the reason why he went with that dash as well, because everything was set up to work with everything else.

Why go through all that (albeit lousy looking result) work to build a car up, then paint it with that ass-tastic primer/flat black shit? It's a lame look that got played out years ago, and just makes the car look terrible.

You have a lot of faith in the stance monkeys.

And man, is it weird that an e36 dashboard looks older and more dated than an e30 unit? I'm so used to the simpler and cleaner unit that the Ti has that I don't pay much attention to the "standard" e36 piece, but jesus, it looks like something out of an 80's toyota.

Yours doesn't have rattle-can overlap lines all over it.

The paint is what really screws up that car for me. Personally, I prefer the E30 interior, but the E36 looks nice in there and is well done. Put a proper paint job on the car and it would be awesome.
