i am so ditching my trunk weight mat sound deadening crap. Fuck balance man. less weight in the rear = less understeer at the track. and oversteer is cooler than understeer.

Yeah its been moving along nicely. I found a couple bad fuses and that was the problem behind most of the interior electronic issues. So that helped out a lot.Comment

Good work. I have an early model and I don't have any of that kind of material in my trunk.1985 M10b18. 70maybewhpoffury. Over engineered S50b30 murica BBQ swap in progress.

No euro cars had the mat at all. so I wouldnt be paying too muchattention to the weight distribution thing.---- even the fully loaded A/C cars with automatics didnt get it here.---its def. for road noise in my book.Comment

Ok, so explain to me why 318's dont have it, 325 2door has double sheets of this and 325 4door has a single sheet.
The fact that no euro cars had it isn't true. I have owned and worked on E30's in Europe seeing I spent half my life there.
Try autocross your car without the mat. Big difference!Comment

Weight distribution has an interesting effect on vehicle dynamics that goes beyond oversteer/understeer. Technically decreasing the weight over the rear axle increases your rear wheel rate, but there are many more effects than that. The dynamics are too complicated to generalize into under/oversteer.paint sucksComment

I would like to see where this beast goes, especially with the progress you are making.1985 M10b18. 70maybewhpoffury. Over engineered S50b30 murica BBQ swap in progress.
