Sorry if I missed it, but how much is the insurance check for? Unless you paid a ton for your car, you're getting fucked by the other guy's insurance. I got $5900 for my totally stock '85 535i in average condition, 200k+ miles. Your car should be WAY higher.

i honestly didnt put a dime into it, other than gas.

it came to me fully finished. paid 9400, got 10k for the car from insurance, and bought the salvage back for a grand. i'd say i made out pretty well, considering what i can get for the parts. i have a fully re-done M5 interior, rebuilt euro motor, 18" staggered style 5s, totally refinished, close to new euro rear bumper, M5 lowr valance, euro lights, one decent euro grille, trunk lid, mtech spoiler, mtech 1 wheel, mtech shift knob, strut braces front and rear, sways, shocks, struts, springs, big brakes, lsd, belly pan, brand new AC system, glass moonroof, euro tails, good glass all around, 4 good doors, m5 sill plates, new carpet, etc etc... i could go on all day. enough parts to build a SICK E28.

she was just spacing out. doing about 40 in a 25, and "didnt see the stop sign"

she was really sorry, and sincere about her fuckup, she knew she was in the wrong, and immediately claimed responsibility. doesnt fix it, or make it easier to swallow, but at the very least, it sped up the process of getting me paid.

Ouch! That realy hurts seeing by prized posession wrinkled up like an old lunch bag. Sorry to see her go down that way. That car had sooooo much money thrown at it. Oh well at least you weren't injured. Good to see the wheels and tires made it out of that mess! I paid $1100 for those and then had them polished and powdercoated, not to mention the huge meats on the rear. I am sure you will enjoy your new baby, at least your new car has a decent stereo.
