Picked up a new rig (nonbmw) 56k beware

Seeing as winter is coming up, and its raining every day, and my white e30 is never clean, I figured it was time to purchase another vehicle, something that is not a car.

I've been needing a truck for awhile, because I haul alot of electronic/computer stuff for work, and I always haul my friends around when we all head out, and my e30 was simply not cutting it for a hauler, nor did I want it to be. So I started rig/suv shopping as I wanted something with 4 doors, that can haul around stuff, and tow my dads boat when I wanna use it.

So I picked this up for 5grand out the door, all taxes, registration etc, which was lower then others in the area, and the cleanest of the bunch.. a good amount of miles, but every well maintained, and drives/runs great.

anyway here are some shots of my new rig, a 1992 Toyota 4 Runner

anyway, i'm happy with it, and my e30 can hide under a car cover during the rain and actually stay clean :p

    more pics are here btw

Nice score! You got a great deal. Does it have the 22R under the hood?

all in the area around here were 4grand for a piece of shit, to 9k for a UBER mint low mile one.

I got this one for about 4500 (before taxes) and it was easily the BEST in its pricerange, the only other one that was this nice was 6500 and had 4k less miles and no new clutch, tires, etc :-)

good choice, ditch those tires though, Michelin LTX M+S is totally where its at for a street going SUV

Awesome. One of the few SUVs I'd ever force myself to drive daily. Extra cool because it's manual.
That should be a reliable winter ride. There are tons of old 4Runners in my town. A lot of high school kids get hand-me-downs from their parents. The body will completely rust away before you worry about the driveline letting you down and stranding you somewhere, like most older Toyotas.

Nice, that would be sweet for the winter. And it turns more revs than the eta :P

Yet sadly, it looks like it only has a out an inch more fender gap than a stock 318i :P

                        Clean ride.
Now swap out that shitty IFS and slap on solid front axle on a that bitch. Then you will have fun on the rocks.

Don't those motors have AFMs on them as well? I remember driving an auto. V6 that color a while ago and it was as gutless as gutless gets. ;)

I'm looking at those right now too, and also the pathfinder. My wife needs a car since we're moving out of the city, and a SUV is so practicle especially since we're selling our condo for a house... There's no way a lawn mower will fit in my cabrio ;)
