Car's back from the paint shop! They did a pretty good job, just took forever. I still have to make adjustments to the bumpers and all that but I'll worry about that later. Next stop, engine shop next week. Here's a couple sneek pics, might get better ones this weekend- I'm gonna try to install the suspension...
Apparently, this is the second unit they had to make for me. The first unit was too long to ship through the mail so they made a second one in two pieces so it could be shipped.
Sure am... got new covers for the front seats. They don't make the covers for the rear any more though...:( But the rear seats aren't that bad anyway. I just cleaned them up a bit.
I dont think i will believe it was my car when your done. That sucks the JY got so bad. They got a big budget cut and have no employees to pull out new cars. You can always try baumholder they had a bunch of e30s last time i went there.
OMFG man im so happy this car went to you! Im glad to see how well you are taking care of it. I miss that ride so much!!
Are you using a e36 or just the e30 rack when you go to power steering.
The rims came out amazing!
Take it ez and good luck with the restore.

Yup, I haven't driven the car since Aug 4 when I dropped it off at the paint shop. Hopefully it will be out of the paint shop the first week of Nov.
I'm gonna use the steering rack that you put in there. I snagged all the other parts from the junk yard so I hope the rack and the pump are in good shape. BTW, the junk yard is now empty of e30's.:( In fact, pretty much empty of all cars... I'm glad I got all the parts I needed before they cleaned house.
Oh yeah, I grabbed the rear seat headrest brackets that you were talking about. Worked out pretty good. When this car's done I don't think you'll believe that it was your old car.
wow! this is Eric's old car. amazing how its transforming. we drove down to Munich together in this car. where are those pics Myers with the bungie cord holding up the exhaust???
