    a few pics of my 1993 325ic

Bought this car in 2004 because of high gas prices. Later found that it is one of a very few E30 verts built in early 1993. It has been my DD since then and I've kept it mostly stock with lots of replacement parts and maintenance. The clutch in it is the orignal factory one, and its lasted for 146k miles!! But all good things must come to an end, and now that the rear main seal has a leak, its time to replace everything. So I'll have to continue ignoring the gap between the front fenders and the front tires and postpone my H&R springs and Koni shocks wishlist.

A partial list of work and mods:

new black convertible top (was blue but I didn't care for the color)
new Ronal LS wheels and Kumho 205/55/15 tires
    new steering rack
    Bilstein shocks/struts (70lk miles ago)
Bav Auto chip (but Mark D chip on my wishlist)
new cat converter, new Eberspacher cat-back muffler system
replaced TB, water pump, etc, etc.
Volvo "is" lip (hooting as I type this)

Beautiful vert. Love the wheels. Bring it to Balsam Mountain on the 20th.

Nice vert! If you're going to stick with the Volvo lip, I would at least fix the outwards flaring on the sides of the lip.

Very tasteful. I could deal with Volvo lip but like the iS lip better. But heck it's not mine. Top down photos?

thanks, everyone. The Volvo lip was my cheapo fix for the ol' skinny lip that had too many dings to be respectable anymore. Would like a better-looking lip, but need to save the $$ for a replacement clutch. Its the original one w/ 146k miles on it, so its time to replace it.

Any of you folks have any advice/comments on upgrading to a performance clutch package? I've read about some packages that claim to have 70% to 110% better gripping power, but I am impressed by the durability of the OEM clutch in this car. Getting 150k miles out of a clutch is pretty darn impressive for the manufacturer.

                    Suggestions/comments/advice on clutches?
