Awesome. Looks like it'll come out better looking than the yellow one with M3 fenders the M-division guys have in Germany. Non-M E30 fenders make it look like it was supposed to be a truck in the first place = wicked cool.

That's awesome. You should start working for a BMW Shop specializing in E30 performance, that way that can be the company truck, your e30 truck, and provide a stylish way to bring the engines to the shop!!!!

Gonna look pretty slick with the paint.

Sweet! Like everyone has already said, I'm sure it will look sick with the new paint! I would change the diving boards for plastic bumpers though, it would clean the look up nicely with the dark paint :D ,

my dad who helped me with the project actually has a bmw shop, not just e30s, but ill put a company sticker on the back window, which will hopefully bring some more attention to the shop.

the car was an 86 325e, but the whole drivetrain is from an 89 i, also its stick, the only reason, like my brother said, that were not swapping the rear bumper is because the aluminum can support a hitch, so we can tow our custom e30 trailer behind it

the bed bottom is from a vw rabbit, which we also took the rear window area from, so the bed is ribbed for extra strength and the body shop put some bed liner on it, not sure what it is called but it is in a big black metal cylinder with a black label, not sure if its the exact one you guys were thinking of but it looks like it will work well.

i should have final painted pictures in a few weeks

I actually have driven a project just like this for work in high school.

Star Motors Ltd. In KC made one and they made a old 300d into a pick-up, the BMW was a 325i w/ euro basketweaves, was alot of fun on wet roads, alot of fun!!!.
I drove the car 8hrs a day at work delivering car parts all over town.
            Nice project.

Looks great, it's going to come out good when its painted.

What are your plans for mods on the car, such as suspension, rims/tires, etc.?

if it dosnt have the tail gate in the back i hope you have riged up some other way for the water drain out when it rains or you could just keep in the garage when it rains.

Rad. You should run some air bags in the rear so you can carry heavier loads without the suspension sagging.

That would look hideous. Maybe a tonneau cover? That would look sick.

And yes, I hope you thought out gutter routes to get water out of the pickup itself.
And as TJ stated, what are the mod plans for the car?

This is my little brother (Jeremy) and my dad's deal, they did all the work, but i can tell you some details
The sagging won't be too much of a problem because it has the higher quarter panels and it will have some eibachs (not sure which, all i know is that they lower abount an inch)
As far as mods go...it'll probably stay fairly stock (Jer, correct me if i'm wrong)
It does have a full '89 m20 drivetrain (lsd diff is coming) and trust me, that thing needs lsd soooooo bad.
I think it will be getting weighed, so Jer will keep you informed

                                looks hot man.

it appears that you may have gotten the B-C pillar right, which is what makes or breaks the e30 ute conversion IMO. pity bout the rear bumper, but if its for a purpose, whatevs.

                                cant wait till its done.
