how is it to short? isnt the 5th gear ratio the same as the M20 trans.? I dont really know too much about the US M3 box just the 6 speed here, and the 6th is still the .81, same as the 260 getrag 5th.

US Getrags are 5 speed and have a 1:1 5th gear, whereas our 5 speed E30 Getrag 260's have an overdrive 5th and a 1:1 4th.

I can't imagine going from a 325e to basically an E46 M3 speed wise on the same exact platform. If I were you it'd take a lot to get the smile off my face while driving.

Edit: the smile would occasionally be replaced with the oh shit I couldn't find traction if it sat on my face-look.

From a member who has been around since the early days of BEN but for the life of me I cant remember which right now.

It is a lot of fun. When the ground is warm and dry traction isnt really an issue but sadly the weather has been bad for a long time now. Its not much of a sleeper since it has 245 series tires, what looks like a giant diff, and a loud exhaust on it. 8)

Still, all E30's without chrome wheels and spoilers (riced out) go unnoticed around here, because they aren't "cool". And the ones that are noticable, are ugly, and slow. Makes yours look clean and ready to kick some ass.
