Yup its Mike, You actually need to plug both holes on the headers. When you shorten the front header you do cut that bung out so you dont need to plug it. you do need to plug the back hole though.
Your o2 is suppose to be about a foot back from the converter. It needs to be where it can read the gas coming off of all the cylinders. If you put it in just the front 3 or just the rear 3 your car wouldnt run right and the o2 would send the wrong signals.
My car is also an 87 325. So it should be the same or damn close.
