Sooo, what's the GVWR again?

Bumping this just to say thanks (Mike right?). The buddy who was doing the welding just had his girlfriend of 14 years try and off herself, so instead of pushing him to do more work, I took the manifolds back. I can always have the exhaust shop do that when they make the downpipes. Also, just a thought, but you have to plug one of the O2 bungs anyway, right? Why not just cut the entire O2 bung off and reweld the flange back on?

As far as wiring, I've got an 87 325i, I'm not sure what non-M20 specific wires I'd have that are different than yours. What were the pin assignments?

Yup its Mike, You actually need to plug both holes on the headers. When you shorten the front header you do cut that bung out so you dont need to plug it. you do need to plug the back hole though.
Your o2 is suppose to be about a foot back from the converter. It needs to be where it can read the gas coming off of all the cylinders. If you put it in just the front 3 or just the rear 3 your car wouldnt run right and the o2 would send the wrong signals.

My car is also an 87 325. So it should be the same or damn close.
