Everyone says UPS sucks....i'll tell ya what man i have NEVER came up with anything fucked up from ups. However i got a set of wheels from a guy through fed ex and 2 of the 4 were bent bad as hell...the boxes were straight fucked man.

My friend works at UPS, and for that reason I do not ship anything through there. The stories this fucker tells me.

Anyhow, I would try to push Fed-ex into paying for a new valance and fab work.

My buddy works at fedex freight, he said the last time a sbc crate motor came through some guy made a joke about Fords being best and poured his bottle of soda down the oil fill cap. They really don't give a shit about anyones package either.

I used to work for a shipping company, and can definitely say most of them actually derive pleasure out of wrecking people's boxes.

That said, if I saw a coworker pouring soda in a motor, I'd punch him in the face.

I would see if you could get it repaired, how much was it insured for? I hope you get the money, cuz that's just crap. I refuse to ever ship anything through UPS because of stuff like this, Fedex hasn't been too bad lately....

i also work in shiping at my work. you really need to over pack the things you ship ups/fedex could care less about your shit. we had a 6,000$ computer damaged thanks to ups

I packed that with Vlad and helped him ship it. What a shame!!! Used an actual hard board bumper box. They must have really hit that thing hard.

took us more then an hour to package it, we used special hard OEM Mazda bumper box, bubble wrap, packaging wrapping material, foam and heavy duty flo-pak peanuts. It had to be something extremly heavy and hard that crashed and damaged this box

Whatever landed on it, smashed this entire area down. When it arrived only one side of the box was elevated.

My boss sent out a piece of networking equipment insured for $100,000 and Fedex destroyed it. We had it on a trial basis so it was being returned to the company. Fedex packed it so they had no excuse, they shelled out $100,000 back to the company.

Good thing you have a picture of the box pre-smashed, you will probably need it.

this is why when you ship a package, always write 2x the amount on item value. they need to pay for the item AND for the time you waste dealing with their bullshit.
