So, after a dozen weeks or so, I've finally got my Touring back!! The shop did a great job - I've very pleased with the work.
If you want to look at some historical context, do a search for 'touring tragedy' in this forum.
So, proper intro on the car:
1989 325i Touring, I've had it for 4 years or so. I bought it and had it shipped from Victoria, BC to Ontario, the guy I bought it from imported it from Germany.
So far, I've done the following:
IE3 springs, Koni's, 17"x7 BBS RGR's in Diamond Black, 215 /40ZR BFG g-force, AKG bushings everywhere, drilled rotors, Hawk pads, Momo wheel and shift knob, short shifter, glass moon roof, Corbeu driver's seat, K+N cone and e-bay st.steel headers and cat back exhaust.
Some day I'd like to do an engine swap (can't justify the $$'s right now, and the M20 has low miles (about 120K's), and runs like a champ)
I'm glad to have it back ...
Enjoy
