So I just got in from a two-day drive, picking up my 'other' car.
Long story short: both my wife and I are in the military. We were both stationed in Missouri. Earlier this year I transfered up to WA State (home) while my wife stayed in MO until last week, when she deployed to Iraq. One she gets back from her deployment, she will also be PCS'ing to WA as well.
Where does that leave us? Well our 2nd car, which my wife had kept in MO, got to come home with me yesterday (and today).
She is made by BMW, but you have to look hard to find the roundels...

She's a 2008 Mini Cooper S which I traded my e36 in for (with a little extra cash ;)).
All I can say is, while it is a four-banger and it is FWD it is an AWESOME car. The 2000 mile trip reafirmed that. More power than my M50 powered e36 had, and half the heft.
Since I have some 'alone' time with the car I have a few plans for it. But, when it drops off Warrantee thats when the fun starts...
