    Some Artistical Night Shots

    enjoy.

if you have a smaller screen, to see these pics better, right click on the pic and open in a new tab, and it will re-size.

Not bad, but could be better. The color is washed out, there's no real focal point, and the compositions are pretty boring. What kind of camera were you using, it looks like a point and shoot? You should try using a better camera where you can introduce more/better control over the photo and see what you come up with.
Oh and make them smaller so you can actually see the whole thing, ppl are lazy online and generally don't take the time to right click whatever the hell you said, or at least i don't unless its a really enticing photo.

    Just come friendly C&C. :)

ha ha! friendly C&C is welcome!!

so in response, all i did was slap my $200 camera on a tripod, turned the knob so it was in "night mode", and just snapped some random pics.

The thing is, though my camera and i both suck at photography, i would actually love to learn more about it (photography), and figure out how to actually use a decent camera, fiddle with settings, and set up a decent photo setting.

anyone up for throwing me a crash course? ;)

Sure thing, i found this awesome website with tons of info on photography.
Search the world's information, including webpages, images, videos and more. Google has many special features to help you find exactly what you're looking for.

Seriously though... just look around at other people's stuff and read on tips and different settings. There's a lot of great photography on flickr too just search.

          +1 on researching photography tips.
I'm still in the learning phase but I love photography so far, just need more motivation lol.
the vortex has a good photography forum, that's where I go for info most of the time.

Yeah me too, that's where the motivation things comes in. Often I just find a photo I like and try to go out and replicate it some how just to get some experience with finding the right settings and how to use them.

Pictures look to dull and boring, try taking the pics without flash or off night mode.

there was no flash used and if it was off night mode the picture would just be a big square of solid black.

Yeah white balance is your friend. Just about every camera these days has some manual settings that can be changed. It's never the camera's fault if you have the ability to use those settings.
