i know it has been probably asked 1000 times before, but how do the subs sound when the top is down? does it still have kick?
With the top down, the bass is diminished by about 10 to 20%, but that was the whole reason I did the bandpass design.

That setup you got looks sweet! Nice job!:pimp:

I went to the dealer about a month ago to get the trunk lid liner and they told me it's NLA. And this coming from a German dealer... WTF?!?

That looks great! Very well done. What did you use to cut the cardboard to shape?

And I have been reproducing the foam the kit rests upon if you want to buy one, if not no worries just throwing it out there. It looks great as is though, nice job :)

oh and to the poster above me, it definitely isn't NLA. There are plenty of them in stock. Ask a different dealer.

I just used a jig saw to cut the cardboard after tracing out a pattern using the toolkit. I may try to replace the old foam, that would be cool.

SEM trim paint. It's probably not the best stuff to use, ideally i should have gotten some kind of special flexible plastic paint, maybe SEM bumper paint or that special Krylon for plastic. I may repaint it soon if it starts to chip or rub off.

Looks great!! I used SEM on some trim pieces on my mk2 when I re-rapped my headliner and they have held up great for 4+ years. As long as you prepped it fairly well, you should be fine.

Do you still live in Corvallis? I'm livin' down there now too and I'd love to come see your cars! I also run up Mary's Peak every other week or so with some friends you should join?!

That turned out really awesome! Good job.

also, +1 on black large tool kits. they look just awesome on white e30s. also, if you didnt use flexible paint, it will chip off pretty easy. there's something about the tool kits that makes them not like to retain paint. the krylon plastic paint works the best as i've found, but dont take the tools in and out often. it'll show from where they rub coming in and out.

but now I want to get myself that 6'er's tool box. I didnt realize it had spots to hold other things unlike the one from a 5'er that holds just tools.
