Gabriel's 86 325es

Hello, I bought scabzzzz 325es from the kid who bought it at the beginning of the summer.

Well,it got fucked up.



Day after I bought it; Called up a friend for some 4x100's


My weekend in 6 pictures:
Tires pulled, so its time for Aircraft Aluminum stripper and intermittent pressure washing.

The wheels have been refinished before they were painted again, so there are 4 layers of paint before the factory powder and primer.

Finally at cast aluminum.

Now to start sandblasting.


Had to stop for the evening, but ahhh, it feels good to get them all stripped. Few more trips through the booth and then strip the barrels by hand. Going order up the paint tomorrow.

If anyone has a word on whether to paint or powder, speak up. I'm doing paint because I can get colors closer to BBS Nogaro. Such as R-M Diamond Charcoal Metallic MA520.50. I'm going make some fuckin toast.

I was thinking hot pink lips. :pimp: Yes, polished. I realized after blasting the first two wheels that I needed to put PVC tape down on the lips because its going to a pain polishing out areas I accidentally blasted. You can see it in the last pic. Still haven't decided on a coating for the lips.

Did the wheel bearings earlier this week. Bitch has been consuming all my time.

Nogaro is a BMW color, not BBS. I have the paint mix if you would like it.

WTF?! The file isn't in my Nogarosilber folder. It took me MONTHS to find that mix...I'll re-update as soon as I locate it. This is a complete disaster, 49 images in that folder and none are it lol!

Drive it. Locals want me to put an iS in it and turbo it. The locals being three turbo iS's owners. I'm finishing my Mech Eng degree before I do anything too involved. I want to drive the eta until it dies, while collecting *gasp* M50 swap pieces. All motor makes me smile. My last BMW was an '00 M roadster on PSS9's.

Busy night, didn't get off until 8. Bit of luck ordering the paint though, friend found a supplier that is willing to take a look at the mix and quoted a decent price. Thanks for the help, speedminded.

I'm an ME at Clemson (graduating in May). Glad to see another realistic enthusiast around. I'm tired of these rainbow wheeled VW'ed BMWs.

Srsly, Thanks all. I'm just sick of poke and bags. Never thought $40 in media, aircraft stripper and beer could be so much fun.

Sophomore transferring back Clemson next fall. We won't be sharing any classes I'm sure. I want this shit under my belt already. I'm a master plumber working taking night classes at a tech school while paying off some debt.

Just more blasting and sanding tonight. Realized how much the shops blaster fucked up the surface. Talked to my paint guy and now sitting with a wheel in my lap and some sand paper. I fucking love mesh wheels. 17 spokes of joy. Coffins and triangles. I'm already 30% over on my beer budget.

Ah, you bought this car. I've seen it around for a while, and always hated the blue wheels. Glad to see someone taking care of it.
