Well, recovering from the holidays and... I picked the wheels up from my painter. I stih bricks when I saw what happened. The shop mixed PPG match turned out to be not close to Glausurit Nogaro, but...

I'm rolling with it. They're darker. Ecky.

They said they could help me out, but they're cleared and look spectacular. I can't photograph how the metallic flake makes the wheels glow.

Starting to polishing them out tonight. 400#, 1000#, 1500#, Mothers.

Playing with getting the plastic dip off the bumpers. Doubtful, but I was able to get clean some shiny spots under the rear. I like the shiny shiny with dark contrast.

    Hate on.

Looks good so far, I would like to see the wheel color in person sometime.

I really like that color, but I'm also partial to darker colored wheels.

Thanks everyone. I am so happy to have the car on the road again.

Zac: Sure, I'll stick around and wait for a meet.

Unfortunately, one of my Hex Nuts fell off on a beer run last night. The waffle stayed in place.

Walked the mile and a half, and found this

              and this...

But no nut. :( Guess those lil fuckers bounce quite far. I am making Lost posters. I'm so sad.

I can't believe how the PO fucked this car up. Why would someone go black on those bumpers? Glad you're bringing it back.

And wait, you found a new phone while looking for your hex?

Good to see it gettin back. I haven't been on any forums in a long time. Didn't even know he sold that thing. Sucks to see good cars go to shitty owners. Like egk2 that was probably the worst I've ever seen. Was my favorite e30 ever.

                              Bad news:
Called the PO. He said he painted the bumpers black because the chrome was destroyed while heating and bending the dent from David's fender bender. He also said they scuffed the chrome pretty good before painting them. I already stripped more of the bottom of the rear. Dammit. To redip them would cost more than a set is worth.

Found a Cellphone and a $10 bill. Already listed it on CL and got a few bites. Still no hex.

My painter said bring him a hex and he'll shoot it. If I don't find it in the next few days, I'll be rolling to pull a part to grab one.

Thanks for the compliments on the wheels. Iit feels like I'm driving someone else' car. Scabzzzz really put all this together. I had this car as my wallpaper for months.

Well, its still my first e30 and I need a Bentley.

I swear your car is what made me want euro bumpers.. sadly mine are painted like yours but I'll clean them up and maybe go satin black... I dunno yet. Either way, once I strip the tint/stickers, claybar the car, lower it, get euro front(bumper, valance and lip) on and replace the wheels, side mirrors and headlights it should look abit more like this.. maybe. probably.. hopefully.

Either way, very happy to see the car back in good hands and without those smurf wheels. Keep it up, and post moar pics. I need a new background.
