There are noticeable differences between lachssilber and granitsilber, and I don't think the latter was offered on US-bound E30's to begin with. It's a hell of a color, but it's not what you've got. Have your VIN checker guy check again.

check the sticker on the strut tower. it will tell you. looks like lachs to me, too, since i have one.

I just asked for pictures of cars that are a certain color? I didnt know when I posted it that the color of my car apparently doesn't exist in America. I will post a picture of the strut tower and be done with it. Take it easy.

237 granitsilbermetallic as you mentioned post it up later, As mentioned the car has potential fix it up. I mentioned to earlier to look over on e30.de many photo's in the archives.

It's not that it didn't exist if yours is here then guess it does exist... It could have easily been a Canadian car, with out last seven of the vin we have no idea.

You may be right about canadian. Here is the Car Fax. Shows it was first reported in NY. My service manager friend told a few things too.

some one photo shop zoom in on that strut tower in the first pic! Regardless of the color, paint looks like its in decent condition, besides the fender crumple. Nice skirts too
