Out of ALL those posts...not one were helpful. I dont want another car. I like the sedan. Yes I could do a S5x or M5x swap....but I dont want to. I want the M20 in there. As far as a body kit goes....what kit WOULD look good on an early model? You say M-Tech 1....but its not much different than the 2. And as far as one poster said about FG....I know what there is involved with in FG. THATS WHY I WANT IT. So basically, no one knows anything on this subject and wants to blurt out the standard answers (i.e. too much money, crappy car, not running, waste of time). You guys are funny. Thanks for the help.

make it a fun/reliable daily, and find something else to mess around with. easrly models can pull off a good slam with proper wheel fitment because of the higher rear arches.

but dont waste time trying to fit the mt2 onto an early model car, very few people have done it well.

its an early 325e, i bet all your suspension shit is toast or will be toast very soon

      this is how to take car of an older car;

      1) clean it to see what you have to work with
      2) assess what needs to be done and if its too much cut your losses.
      3) do your basic maint. like your brakes, your timing belt, and fix any leaks
      4) i hate noobs who ask stupid ass questions and make teenagers like myself look like punk ass rice heads.
5)fix whats broken or needs replacing and upgrade when applicable like if you need cab's, go with polyurethane
      6) be realistic with your time/budget and mechanical restraints
      7) then spend extra money on personalizing it.

e30's are not the kind of car that can rock full body kits like the newer stuff. very few non oem kits still in production flatter the agressive and boxy lines that we all enjoy on the e30. this aint ricer town, and we dont take kindly to people coming in here and asking questions without searching. ;)

dont like my advice? get an e36 and be happy with yourself./ rant

People are just trying to make your life easier. Putting a mtech-2 isnt a walk in the park. U would need custom trimmed rear bumper. And I dont know how hard it is fitting the front valence. But easiest option for your car is Euro bumper along with mtech-1 if u can find one in decent shape.

Haha. Small world. Picture in question circa 2002-'03.

It was an '88 Super E, with an M50 swap, 3.73LSD. Apex springs, Bilstein shocks. M Tech II kit was a replica, somewhat wavy and molded into the body. Wheels pictures on it were 18" 5-Zigens. Paint was a silver shade from the Mercedes Benz catalog (originally Lachssilber). In '03-'04, it started to go downhill, the front and rear bumpers had been replaced by the Rieger GTS kit, and the rims were sold and replaced by 17" ROH ZR6s...

            Cheers!

If I can build helicopters all day long....I can trim and fit a kit. And if I cant I have composite people who can. Its not hard. The custom bumpers on my E46 Im sure were harder. Thanks for the info!

No offense, but you've got too many silly questions and not enough patience. On top of that you're just criticizing any advice and answers being offered and it appears you don't appreciate the fact that people are trying to look out for you.

You can find the answers to all of your questions here: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/search.php

If you've got the mad skillz, money and hook-ups you seem to be hinting at I'd say go nuts, but don't ask for realistic advice if you don't want it.

Saying that the car is a P.O.S. isnt advice. I dont think my questions are silly OR unrealistic. I like the sedan. I have searched my ass off for the 2 months I have been on this forum daily but all the pics and questions I see only lead me to more questions. The few sedan threads i HAVE seen dont show me squat. No one has a decent modded E30. I mean...I have only seen a few on here I truly liked.....but all M3's or coupes. But thanks for the search advice once again.....noted....

I didnt say I knew everything. I know nothing of the E30. I asked questions after I searched but yet I still get bombed on. I am very mechanically inclined to do whatever is needed on the car....I just dont know the styling cues or what works with what. That only works when people have done it. And I still cant find it in all my reference threads. I didnt think that I would find a forum worse than the Vortex....yet, I did....lol..

Anyways, I have 4 sets of wheels for the car in 15-18" sizes. I have brand new OEM carpet for the interior for $500 out the door. New panels and headliner are being made out of alcantera. I have a new crack-free dash. Im about to start the CF overlay and instrument retrofit/refurb. I have DB brackets to shorten the bumpers. I have new bumper caps. And last but not least...a turbo manifold to spice up my soon to be pulled M20.....Just need to figure out the body kit and a few other things. I have a wholesale account with K-Sport, Auto Power and BMW NS so parts arent a problem. Hence, my questions. ;)

On a side note... I think that car that you linked is hideous, and if cash isn't a problem then you should start with a cleaner shell. That is all.
