Agreed. Foot finesse will be required no matter what.

I have, however been thinking about a different kind of tuning. I want to figure out a way to do it. Better than traction control. However I don't know of an engine computer that can store 5 maps and also can switch maps based on what gear you're in.1987 BMW 325is | Frankenmotor S50 | Supersprint Replica Headers | K&N Intake | Gutted Stock Midpipe | Zimmermann Rotors | Stainless Brake Lines | Porterfield Racing PadsComment

They should fit just fine. Eurostop's new flares give 2" of clearance over stock. Plenty of guys run 245/45 on 16x9s with the older 2002 style turbo flares with no issue. These new flares have even more room. ;)

I was planning to turbo, but I've driven 4 turbo cars now, and 2 supercharged ones, and I like the fell of the SC better. Plus the SC will be cheaper and more reliable. I'm only looking to make 300-350whp. :p

Only if you could fit into my Sparcos.

 LOL.

I don't want to run a staggered set-up as it is detrimental to handling. Also 275s cost A LOT more then 255s, and will be a lot harder to fit.

Then I guess you don't want any traction.

Scarlet is a bit of a heffer compared to stock. Except for the AC delete, the trunk tar removal, and my Sparcos, I've only added weight to the car. I have a HUGE battery in the trunk, a sub and box that wiegh around 30-35 lbs, 2 amps that weigh around 40lbs total, and the added weight of the s52. I'd guess my e30 is around 2750-2800 with a half tank.

The 235/40s I have right now are just about perfect for my suspension set-up and power. I can spin them in first if I want to, 2nd it takes a bit more effort. When I have the blower on the car, I will be making about 100whp/70wtq more, so I will need AT LEAST a 255 out back to put the power down. ;)

I don't want to ruin these wheels driving around with no sidewall to protect them. Plus 255s look meaty and delicious on these wheels.

I've been thinking P/D super lately, but turbo tuning leaves more options. Hard choices in the distant future.

245 is already 20mm more than I will be running on in the near future. Pedal control is a 427whp Supra TT.1987 BMW 325is | Frankenmotor S50 | Supersprint Replica Headers | K&N Intake | Gutted Stock Midpipe | Zimmermann Rotors | Stainless Brake Lines | Porterfield Racing PadsComment

I wanted to see this too, but I have to focus my efforts on the M3 instead!

Hopefully the car will be sold by then so I can have my M3 running for Bimmerfest! :pimp:

Teaser: 245/40s with a 5mm spacer up front (too small, needs 8-9mm to clear the strut)

These would've been sick on my car, but they will be on a certain someone's flared, turbo m20 car in the near future! ;)Last edited by e30polak; 04-16-2010, 12:58 PM.Check out Undr8d Empire on Facebook: www.facebook.com/Undr8dEmpireLlc
