no, he'll buy a 325iS and put JDM crap all over it, thus ruining an okay 325iS. Then said JDM covered e30 owner will tell his PPL about it and they'll all do the same thing. THEN, when all said in done they will go up to the "mountains" and "drift" and probably wreck. All while we hear about "OMG, my PPL and I R GonnA go dirftin in the hills, who all wanna join?" And then it will be "OMG, one of my PPLS was driving going the speed limit, maybe 5 under, and slid on some loose gravel into the side of the hill, do you thank its totaled?"
have fun. Buy an 84 318i and swap an m20 in it. That should be plenty of fun.1988 M3, 97 840, 99 XJ

hahah i actually bought the 325ES today lol
The weird part was there were another seller drove an hr and half from Dayton to pick up the car. He was trying to pull out his moral card on me, he tried to make me feel guilty tho. Anyway seller chose me hahaha 6 cyl inline and rated 121hp ...lol you guy can make of me which i don't mind. The first instinct about this car, I like it a lot so..fuk it
As beginner of my first European car and a first RWD(less horsey) starts from bottom is not a bad idea tho. Also we test drove it, motor pulling strong, shift smoothly. The only thing on shifting is kind annoying because the stick kind loosen though. The rust from i have seen both side fenders, seats are okay in condition. Otherwise overall is not that bad(heater is working). I will try to snap some pics tomorrow and post on here.

Check out Jean's threads on his 335i build (there's 2) he details the mods you can do to tighten up the stock shifter, which is the sheet-metal console type. You can't switch to the late model aluminum shift console if it's the original transmission, as there are no mounting tabs for it. Z3 shift lever shortens the throws. Trans mounts will reduce the shifter movement if the shifter rebuild itself isn't enough for you.'89 325i track sloot

+ you could always get the M20B25 with a transmission for around $500]

Now don't put on a fart can muffler or a wing, or gay wheels. If you want to mod the car tastefully, i would suggest lowering the car on some decent springs and shocks and getting some decent 15" or 16" wheels. i recommend H&R springs and Bilstien Sport shocks. If you do suspension, make sure you get aftermarket rear shock mounts, because the stock ones are guaranteed to blow out. I have these https://store.nexternal.com/ireland/...earShockMT.jpg from Ireland Engineering and I am very happy with them.
Do maintenance before modification, make sure that timing belt gets changed, replace any bad ball joints or bushings, it will tighten up the car considerably.
If you want more power, you can pick up an M20B25 with the transmission for pretty cheap, from $500-1000 i'd say, although I am not sure you would need to custom wire an adapter harness or not.
OR, you can maintain the car, fix everything that's broken, and sell it when you end up finding a late model (1989-1991) 2 door 325i, 325is or 318is that you can buy.
and FYI a 325i and 325is is faster than a 318is.
and don't mind the people "busting your balls", that happens alot here, especially to people from the JDM scene, so stick around, search, read, and learn.

Your words kind encouraging me a lot though lol I don't know why. I am very satisfied the fact of having the slowest E30 here, but as i said from previous as a beginner I need to learn from this car first before I moved on bigger project actually.FYI: Rome was not build within a day or so.
I actually ended up paying more because there was a guy just came out middle no where. I made an appointment with the buyer already, and we test drove it and everythings. He show up 4:30 at DMW and went a cirle around in the parking lot said full price.......... At the end, he tried to play the moral side on me, he told me he has been ditched out these couple weeks of buying car of stuff. Keep saying no pitty on me......
I don't know i was going to pay 600 at the end, but this guy pulls out 675( full price). I was like fuk it, let's do this 700 I will not going out for a week or so to save my extra 25 here lol The final price I paid for was 700.
The car was pulling hard on us lol with 4 guys on average weight. Considering a 1986 I think worth for the bucks.
Don't worry about the fart can or some junk shit. My b15 Qg has won a QG of the month
check this out http://www.qg18de.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=2384
I was the first one 1.8 owner who has Brembo calipers on in the U.S:pimp:
I like clean car, i am not planning any spoiler except the stock one I will rock with it untill the day after tomorrow comes........
As far the maintance and there are going to be few things that i am going to fix otherthan that there probably won't be any mod soon. I don't have a garage so, this winter will be the longest winter i ever have .....restoring everythings back to shinny star again
btw my rear struts are knoi yellow, are they considering good in E30 community ? my front I can't tell at all unless I jack the car up.
I am planning to change the whole front control arms becuase driver side ball joint busted I will just make everythings new again. What brand or just normal ones are good?
which one control arms are good?
