    Spring perch mod pics

Some people saw my teaser thread. Stock spring perch was cut and rewelded 3/4" lower on the tube. I got measurements to show exactly how much it was lowered. This is H&R Sports/Billie. 195/65 blizzaks in front, 195/60 blizzaks in rear. Thick ass spring pads top/bottom in back. I'll be removing one of those on each side in the near future to get the back a little lower so its not so raked. I havent had any problems with bottoming out yet but I haven't hit too many big bumps yet, just normal not smooth/bumpy pavement has been fine. Pardon the crap, salt, and pink paint. I know its not the prettiest thing in the world.

what about suspension travel.. and going 3/4" lower with the same rate is usually a recipe for disaster.

I havent had any problems with suspension travel yet. Like I said in my last thread, I guess we will see how it goes but I think I will be fine.

So, you basically just let the shock compress 3/4" more than normal, while not changing anything spring related, preload or rate wise.

Should get H&R Race in my opinion.

The end result does look good though.

Yea, the avatar chick with insufficient boobs.
Though I was happy to see Michelle Rodriguez's boobs bounce in 3D.

                    The drop is nice.

Oh, it's a cheap way to lower the car nicely without buying new parts, but you've reduced the compression travel by 3/4" and that shouldn't be very good for the shocks, but time will tell. Seems you are aware of this already, though.

Very aware yes. I wanted to lower it just 3/4" without buying coilovers. If I would have got GC coilovers, used billies, and lowered it this much I would still be this low on suspension travel. I'm just doing it a different way and being cheap. I lowered it this much for free AND I had a professional shop weld these for me! ;)

You probably lowered the perch 7/8", no?

Have you made a purchase from www.blunttech.com recently?
