Are you the same 'Madhatter' from Bimmerforums? Nice find for $400, what motor is in it? That doesn't appear to be a factory MTech but looks great for that kind of cash..

I havent been on bimmer forums for about 12 months, so i dunno :(

It's a 323i so it has an M20 (B23) in it. It came with a few goodies too, koni adjustibles and an LSD (super rare down here) being the big ones :D Yeah the kit isnt factory, it is fibreglass, it doesnt look too bad actually, i had to remove the door panels and re-align them (you can see why in the pic of the wheels) because they werent level (too much of a gap), i fixed that and it looks fine. Fixed the cracks in the front bumper, just have to cut holes into the front and insert some rubber bungs so the front bumper (the metal one underneath) can be unbolted with the front bar on. Appart from the alignment issue with the door panels, they did a fairly good job fitting it, they even colour coded everything to give it a SII look (trims, mirrors, etc). The previous owner started to pull the front valance off (in order to get the bar off to repair it) so it kinda looks like it isnt centered correctly (but it is)



It has 17 inch wheels on it now which have really changed the look of it, since finding that my paint appears to be original and that it really is saphir blau, i think im going to treat the entire car to a full respray. Im thinking that i should either go the clear indicators (front and sides) and the red tail lights, or maybe the smoked look (tail lights, indicators, etc). I think the contrast of black on light blue/silver looks half decent, it isnt as bad as say a deep red.



Wheels, sitting a little too high, but i have fixed that now (just have to install them) with springs which will drop it 40mm :D Havent fitted the fronts yet as i need to drive it into work and sort through the box of hub rings to fit the car.

My gearbox has had it though, teeth gone on the layshaft :o so im in the process of putting a spare 245 back into it with a short shift kit (arrived last week). Ive got a few things planned for the interior, it is that deep navy blue colour, i have black seats from my previous E30 so iam going to put the rear seat into the car and find some decent recaro's for the front. Definately going to dye the door trims and probably the roof liner too. Just going to neaten it up inside and go for a real minimal, but tidy look.

Then comes the turbo when my MS parts arrive, this is really taking a lot of time away from my E21
