I saw a lot of NICE looking cars in this thread...I wouldn't want to "beat" on a lot of these! I've been so cruel to my jeep but that thing just won't die!

Here's my beater! (black ZJ) I only drive it off road, with the dogs in the back, or with the boat behind it...drinks WAY too much gas to use it more than I have to.

My uncle had one of these in Kenya. Got to ride in it for part of our stay back in 07.

    Background to following creepiness:
My dad and most of my family always used to talk about the Patrol and how my uncle has had it forever. All this talk made me want to go over and see it in person.

As I mentioned above, we used it for about 1/3rd of our stay until we rented a Mitsubishi io (POS!!) While we were up country visiting family, we got word that my uncles immediate family (7 people total) was involved in an accident with it on their way to Tanzania. In short, the thing rolled 3-4 times before coming to rest on a rock. All of them survived with the major injuries being a sprained ankle and although my youngest cousin was thrown from the vehicle and knocked unconscious, she woke up an hour later more or less OK.

Question: Was it my destiny to ride in the Patrol before it was done for?? It had one small prior roll and another crash that were both patched up. To me, just crazy.

More on topic; Patrols are tanks!!
