    Finally found my IS.

Been looking locally for a bone stock Sterling or Black IS. My plans are to keep it clean and stock with a little touch and use it as a daily driver. A couple weeks ago I found this Sterling IS that was sitting outside of a shop. It was sitting outside in the same spot for almost 3 years. It was abandoned by the PO due to a job that was never paid. It had a new rebuilt head and new cooling system 3 years ago. Its a 142k 2 owner Norcal car with a clean Carfax. The first owner had it till 07 and was traded in a local Chevy dealer  back in 07. Amazingly the car is totally rust free with original dried oxidized paint and dried and cracked black interior. I tested the car and it started right away with no problems. It also failed smog due to an aftermarket cheap cat and exhaust. I drove the car back to SF and seems to be fine. Everything works including the AC ;). This will be a new project for me but this time I will take my time. I plan to have the car repainted to its original color in the future but for now I will make her road worthy. A lot of things got frozen since its been sitting outside for such a long time.

    Current pics ;)

Installed my new interior tonight 3/16/10 . Its nice and soft ;) Keeping it simple .

Pls pardon the wirinkles. It need sun light for it to stretch.

Still waiting for the other 2 Alpina wheels then I'm done.

    What I have changed:

Thanks to Golde30 I had the LSD and exhaust swapped from his new parts
    car.

Flushed all fluids and changed all filters including plugs

Barrowed a friend spare clean 14" weaves with new tire (Old tires and wheels are molded)

Installed my Mcoupes lighted shifter ;)

Installed an awesome $100 Kenwood from Bestbuy (orig is missing the face plate)

Installed new Euro grills from Abraham (orig are cracked)

Purchased an uncracked dash and Eibach springs from another member and today I went shopping for her :D

Bought all new Brake system, suspension , clutch fan, IS skirts, OEM lip spoiler , mats .
Got some RS003s and found my extra set of smilies That should be enough to keep me busy and for the future I plan to have it repainted and restitched
