i know that this is an e30 site and don't get me wrong but if i had to pick an entry class bmw it'd be a 2002 if i had to pick a 5 hands down e34 a 6 it's be the old 635csi (if i couldn't have a 3.0csl) a 7 it'd be a 2001 750il (manual swap) and 8 obviosly 850csi and a z series it'd be a z3m coupe screw the x series
in short i frickin love 2002 but i'd do an s54 swap
Yeah, its Inka. I'm doing an m20 swap soon. Also want to get a set of black enkei 92's and getting a friend who does decals to get my front and back black LTW flags.
How tight is the m20 fit into a 2002? I have a soon to be spare complete ETA engine and I'd love to have a 2002 in my collection. Figure the ETA 2.7 will scoot it along nicely without roasting any tires.

M20's are the easiest engines to transplant into 2002's. Pretty straight forward. Just have to move the battery to the trunk and figure out a place for the ecu blah blah. As far as your transmission choice, that could be a different story. But if you use a e21 4 or 5 speed you just gotta beat the tunnel with a hammer to ensure it fits
No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.
