Pics after my 4.5 lug conversion

Some pics of my work in progress ;)

At the San Diego BMWCCA AutoX (parked next to JasonH's ride)

After I installed an Autopower 4pt bar with removable cross members

    It is a pretty tight fit around the B-pillar . . . .

And a decent fit around the head liner (it's a blurry pic, but thats a penny wedged between the headliner and bar)

Now once some spring hats come in, I'm ready to tackle the front :)

The new wheels look sweet. Oddly I like the gold centers on that car.

Thanks. They're 16x7.5 RZ BBS wheels

I not usually a fan of gold wheels, but gold seems to go well with diamontschwarz.

The car was a bit tail happy at the AutoX, but for having 475 GC springs in the back and stock up front, it was suprisingly neutral :)

You'd be surprised how tail happy 475lb/in rear springs are even with 300lb/in fronts.

With my 375/475 Ground Controls, it was pretty neutral on the street....but on the auto-x course here, It was all I could do to get a decent time and not have the car yawwed the whole run. I hear ya, fellas.

I had multiple on-ramp unintentional drifts. I would be literally steady state at the edge of adhesion, then, with no throttle or steering change, the back end would come right out as if I just lifted. Honestly, quite dangerous; the first time scared the living shit outta me.

I now have 300/440, really thinking of putting at least 375 up front. Or maybe just staggering the tires on the new 17's. I'd probably get flamed for that one. ;)

You got any more pics of the mounting plates on the autopower? Also, an undercar pic of the 2 front most mounting post would be cool.

Looks really nice, do you have matching RZ's for the front?

Jay, I had similar experiences, mostly when the suspension was all or most of the way down (GC's). Do you think it can be attributed to the excessive rear toe? Or did you also notice it when the suspension is high (not slammed)
