Noob first e30 First restore

I bought her about 7 years ago. Have done nothing to her but put in an aftermarket cd playr.(made my own wire attatchments to keep factory wiring) fell in love at first site now it's time to go through her and fix her up. Need to fix damage from PO. Need to get side skirts that fit her upgrade to plastic bumpers, and Recondition the rest. I know little about it but after reading this forum and seeing all the mods this is my first of many e30's I have don alot of searches and have som ideas but any knoledge on my desired mods would be helpful and yes I'm ready to get bashed for my lack of knowledge. Other than fix the obvious, I'd shoot for a clean OEM look with some nice shape period correct weaves. Of course, you would for sure make it look better by actually cleaning the car too. People dont realize that it doesnt matter what condition the car is in, if its spotless clean, it sure as fuck seems a whole lot nicer. But then again, I have a thing for germs.

The top is totally trashed.(was when I bought it) Has been under tarp in garage for last 3 months can only drive it in nice weather and we have 2 feet of snow on the ground so you get the idea. And I know gotta love the dime store hubcaps from PO I can say trailer park can you

What color is the car? From the pictures I can't tell if it's Bronzit or silver.

Bronzit top is black and torn with crack in the middle of back window PO put the top down in the winter and cracked it and broke the front lip off on a parking curb after I told him I was buying it.

Just been doing little repairs like replacing trim pieces and getting all the bulbs working again new top is in garage ready to install but I did do a cluster rebuild and mod. blackened out the bezel got the odo working again and added a tach strip and crome rings. Went led and ble forth guage lights love the results

This was a diy but would not recommend it unless you are extremely patient and have a lot of time to remove old adhesive old top was totally trasshed glad to see it go.
