I had a honda accord, which was my first car, man so much half assing on that car....lower car, but don't buy camber kits, tires wear out like crazy, then i buy the camber kit....then don't align the car, tires wear out again, now i get new tires and align the car...... haha...sucks to not have money back in high school but you're itching to mod

So it's been awhile...so a couple updates have gone past since i've had the car for a little over 2 years now...

After going through about 3 sets of rear tires and about 22,000 miles of driving, I had to figure out wtf was going on that my tires wore so much. I replaced the RTAB, and it fixed my toe, but camber was off still...turns out this happened.

The car is still stock looking...but i finally fixed a lot of the suspension components.

      -AKG RTAB
-AKG front LCA offset bushings & new front control arms (not sure what brand)
-PowerFlex subframe bushings & replacement subframe from Craigslist
-Autozone rear shocks (they're not as bad as some of you may think, but of course my car isn't lowered) & rear shock mounts.

I have a replacement fender that I need to get painted and installed. Euro smiley's are in the mail somewhere and i'm ordering HIDs today.

Mods in the next few months...
      -Bilstein sport and H&R Race
      -16x8 Rota Slipstreams
-New steering wheel...this airbag boat wheel is ugly and huge
      -Bucket / race seat
-Z3 steering rack (does it matter what year? HELP!)

I ran this set up on my white e30 and loved it!

Corbeaus and OMP/NRG deep dish wheel

Not sure on the year. There is some info on this in the DIY section I believe. You will need some spacers for the steering linkage if I am not mistaken.

looks good! BTW...i went through your whole build thread...good job buddy! Love the 2002! I wonder how well that suede will hold up? I want a new wheel bad...i hate this boat steering wheel.

So i got bored over the weekend, wanted to do some cheap mods...so i painted the valve cover...first took the valve cover off...cleaned it with a wire wheel drill attachment. Then washed it again and cleaned with degreaser. Painted, let it air dry for 3 hours, then i came back and used a heatgun to cure it. Much easier if you had an oven. I didn't want to put the valve cover with oil still on the backside into my oven. Also took 80grit sand paper to sand down the raised areas, then finished it off with 180 grit. Gotta do some other things to clean up my engine bay, will probably remove the headers and paint those, and wash down the whole thing...

My next project....the rear speaker deck didn't hold my speakers very well at all...and the speaker grill couldn't be mounted properly...so i removed the thing, i'm thinking i'm gonna fiberglass it to make it stronger since it's basically like a cardboard, than put a 1/4 MDF wood on top, and mount my speakers to that...cover it all with the black felt carpet i bought...what do you guys think? A friend and I also discussed covering the whole thing in carbon fiber cloth and just leaving it like that....hmmm

Not really? I see way too many of them so I'm kind of bored of it. Also after owning this BMW for 2 years now, I'm more into older cars now. I would like an old E28 or something...maybe E30 M3?

I just landed a new job, gonna wait till the end of the year and see how things pan out...Might sell all my cars and move to a third world country...don't know yet.
