Sorry, I wasn't home to update this thread.

This is what I was using to seal:

Detailer's Domain is a premium car care studio and reseller of premium car care products. We offer new car preparation, paint correction, ceramic coating, and paint protection film (aka clear film). Detailer's Domain also is an authorized reseller of Nanolex, Fictech, Gyeon, Sonax, Nextzett, Xpel, Oberk, Rupes, Jescar, Aenso, and more. Detailer’s Domain’s mission is to provide customers with the best possible product and service for our automotive car care needs.

The dude who runs the site, Phil, is an awesome dude too. He'll help you out with any questions you've got, he really knows his stuff.

I'll definitely update this thread when I'm done. And, when we get a break from this shitty weather!

                Meguiars #21 FTW
Recommended by my finish supplier. I will never use another sealer, the best.

"Tech wax"? It's in most local auto parts stores, yeah? If so I'll pick some up and try it out. I know I've not been thrilled with my last wax. Would like a bit more shine for a bit longer.

So much E30 restoration in this thread. I did the EXACT same thing to mine, and I loved my car so much more after every batch of polishing I did. Your car looks great.

This thread screams deja-vu. Love it.

I was skeptical at first, thinking 'oh this is just some crummy silicone in a flashy package, whatever'. But it looks fantastic, especially on red and black cars. It also lasts much longer than other waxes. Honestly it worked better on my Zinno car than much more expensive options like Griots One-Step Sealant or the Zymol Carbon.

The more prep work on the paint before using this stuff, the better the end result.
                            (not insulting your intelligence)

                            Wash car with dish soap
                            Clay entire car
                            Buff away using polish
Apply Zymol or something like that (whatever is your fave.)
                            Apply tech wax.

I would say at least 3 coats of the stuff. I do 5 coats myself, because I have a black car.
                            And I have OCD. :)

NEVER wash you car with dish soap. it will suck out any and all waxes, and will cause swirls a lot easier.
use a soap made for washing cars....

also a random orbital from say walmart, suck fucking balls. the porter cable, is a nicely engineered piece of equipment made for professionals.

meguiars 21 is my favourite, on my car. where you live, and the weather and time of day all play into what sealant or wax will work best on your paint and in the weather your in.
you should wax your car every 2 months, in perfect conditions. more so if you drive it daily and weathers not nice.

i detail professionally, if you have any q's ill be glad to help
