here's a pic and a short vid of a mini I built for a friend quite a few years ago. Its a really rare widebody kit. the motor was supposed to be putting down about 90hp- and had straight cut gears in the trans with the weber 45 on it, big cam, bored 1.4 I think-- from a newer rover, headers and a ton more crap. it was a blast but it was just too loud for me to really enjoy- and wrong wheel drive.

BTW-- thats a "tuned" east german Trabant 2 cycle goodness!

heres a pic of it from last year in North Carolina. its an 87 with a 69 title.

LOL. Mine's like that, too. I'm just glad I didn't have to do it.

I did some work on a friends '67 a while back. Great car to drive. His has a Mini Mania stroker motor amongst other things. Only 9X hp IIRC but it was just right for that car. I love the simplicity and driving traits of the cars. Would love to have one in my garage at some point. Unfortunately, from what I understand, they are hard to come by in Cali. Something to do with some shady business importing them in the past. Your's looks clean!

I'm also considering a supercharger. It's only dreams atm tho, 'cause I'm saving up for a M54 swap in my E30.

13's never looked so good....I've considered one for a beater while I do work on the E30.

Wouldn't recommend it as a beater. If you look at it hard enough, some parts may fall off. It rusts like hell, and it needs to be taken care of.

                    13"s are huge!

                      Just this one:

Need a shorter intercooler to fit along the front.

Iv not actually had it out on the road yet, need to finish it for this summer so I can have it on the road. Torque steer wont be too bad tho I dont think. My mate has a honda vtec mini and once you get the suspension alingment orted properly then its not even too bad.

And on another note, my wheels are 6x12" as I reckon 13's are too big. Would love wide 10's one day.

I suck at internet, so embedding is out of the question.
I also don't know why it didn't show up in HD, but here's a video.

                        http://www.vimeo.com/10919883

I was testing my new GoPro HD camera. The weather was nice, car was semi-clean, so I went for it. The camera placement sucks, and I didn't go anywhere exciting. I would do it again, but the car broke down.

any of you guys tried the twin cam BMW motorbike head conversions? such a great mod, great bang for buck and retards like myself don't have to worry about trying to get a different enfine to fit in it.

Well since everybody else is doing it, here's my baby. '69 Austin Mini 1000 $7,500

10" wheels are where it's at.

FWIW, a clean stock Mini generally runs from $7-10k in the states.
