Dude it looks great! Painting the bumper shrouds is up to you, I think you should skip painting those and find a good set of plastics to get painted. Or use the money you would spend on painting those pieces to find a decent set of euro bumpers :)

while you were at it you should have painted the rockers red. if you paint he bumpers I looks like crap just set the bumpers in. Shadow line the chrome and drop it. I have a front spoiler that will work on your car if you are looking for one.

I'd say do it, and replace or paint the bumper strips. Looks pretty nice...

The paint looks nice, but the faded diving board bumpers take alot away from the car as a whole. Either paint the rub strips/chrome black with the surrounds red and tuck the bumpers, or just get some plastics. I would go for the later. Throw on a nicely painted iS lip and you'll be set! (I used to have this exact same car, '88 Zinno 325iS. I had the big bumpers too for a while, and all I can say is the plastic bumpers look 1000x better)

I would leave everything as it is, but add an iS front lip.

Definitely leave the rockers black. If you paint them red, your car will give off the sense that it had a quick-hack paint job. I wouldn't paint the bumper surrounds either.

Right now, your car looks the way it rolled off the assembly line (minus front lip) in 1988. If you were to sell it today, it would fetch a premium among the purists.

Sometimes, less is more....just my 2 cents.

^^I was thinking the same thing. I need to take care of that faded impact strip it pisses me off. Also if anyone has an IS lip let me know lol

Looks great!! I would paint the bumpers black and compress them all the way. Get a IS front bumper cover and call it a day. Move on to other mods. If down the road you want to do plastic bumpers or Euro than do them at that point. For now get your suspension and wheel setup figured out.

As was said above: Squish'em and squirt'em, both satin black along with all the trim on that car: Royalty.

Your will want the early model IS bumper cover. Looks like the pictures below. To compress the bumpers just drill a hole in the bumper shocks and let the fluid drain out. Then they will compress very easily.

Should look like this when tucked and painted black. I think this looks very clean!! Like I said your car is nice enough, worry about your stance and wheels setup.

No i want the IS lip that is supposed to be on my car.I think I saw a DIY article about that on here. Does anyone know where I can find the filler section on the front because I was thinking about throwing some euro plates on.
