If I can afford to keep the s14, then I want to put it into a 2002. I probably wont have the money to swap the s14 and keep it however. :x

I'm aware of the quantity imposted to the united states. I'm saying the current supply meets demand. Its not a particulalry exspensive car. Hell a new kia koupe cost more. The people who trully feel it is there dream car already own them and will never sell them. Then there are the typical r3vers who can't afford to buy a new radiator let alone a 800 set of control arms. They are not true m3 fans. They just want what they can't afford. You already know my thoughts about the m3 which is why I don't own one.

Congrats on buying your dream car. As with many other around here its also my dream car. I do prefer it with the original S14, but you own it and its your choice. I do think you have good taste in modding though.

Take a regular e30. Maybe 1-2k. Now swap it, etc etc, now is a 5k+ car. You probably are still losing money on the car given the costs of mods, but compare that to an m3.

20k for a nice straight m3.
Swap it, mod it, do everything you did to the nonM, and still a 20k car. In a few years, might even go down in value or stay at 20k when the s14 original ones are now fetching 25-30k.

Not necessarily in the case of Chris, since he has no intention of selling it soon, but just in general, modding a collectors item ≠ modding a car thats pretty easy to come by

The motor you plan on building will make around 270-280whp. give or take a few. personally I'd just lower it and put some nice bbs's on it, but it's his money so let him build what he wants. Plus say he wants to sell it in the next 5 years or so, which i don't know why anyone would, he could always track down an s14 or trade the s52 for one.
