So I got my new wheels mounted. All I can say is wow, they transform the car so much. ET26 offset really pushes the wheels out and fills up the fenders nice.
          here's some pictures mounted.

So my locks started to seize up. So I tried opening the door through my trunk lock. The only problem is the trunk lock doesn't open the doors it only closes them. I ordered a new trunk lock actuator and I sprayed some wd40 in all my other locks and now they work perfectly fine. When I get this little problem fixed I'm ordering a keyless entry system and now am on the lookout for some m3 springs.

either m3 springs with some drophats, or Vogtland with kyb's. This is my daily driver so there is no point for me to spend a shitload of money on a set up that's meant more for spirited driving.

So here's the new trunk lock actuator, since the old one took a dump on me.

And now the worst problem is that my chain tensioner started to go. I'm getting horrible chain smack at 2000-2500rpm. And the worst part is at idle it sounds like a diesel. So there is two probable causes. 1. Chain tensioner. So off to pelicanparts.com and ordered the chain tensioner.

                          2. Bolts from the upper oilpan fall into the lower oilpan which causes the lower pan to shift forward and suck in air and not send oil to the top end. So I also ordered a new lower oil pan gasket just to check and be sure so my engine doesn't seize up later on. Will be installing all this, this weekend.

Sorry, being around diesels for basically my whole life, I could never imagine an m42 sounding like a diesel.

But nice progress otherwise. No H&R sports?

I need to put money aside for all this stuff. If I take apart the timing case and I see wear I'm going to have to spend money on guides and a new chain. So I rather hold off on suspension for now until I get this sorted out.

I get that, but earlier you said you were gonna do m3 springs, I was wondering about that.

Not sure if this applies to m42s, but when you do a timing chain, normally you change the timing gears too as they get eaten away. Hope it works out for ya!
