It did look like a bunch of fun. I love VIR. I watched the VIR 500 way back when and I got to ride around the track with my brother a couple laps. The oak tree turn is badass.
Out of curiousity, how did your E30 compare to all those Type Rs, i've had 5 civics, all heavily modded, all of them were swapped, 2 were 5 lugged with type r brakes/suspension and were on rails...so relative to the ITRs do the E30s hold their own or do they lag behind? I feel that that E30's suspension is so outdated, and is really horrible, when compared to a basic econo box like a honda.

So that was your car at VIR this past weekend. I was there all weekend flagging with Madison Motorsports. I spent alot of time talking to the spec e30 guys and taking pictures of cars. I definitly have quite a few of the e30s that were there.
I hope to be out there in a few months :D

No.
Let's see the rear suspension setup from the e30 was still used by the z3 and z3 M. As for the front i don't beleive they have changed much, i know the e36 is very similar. Add the near 50/50 weight distribution and the preferable RWD layout and you notice how these cars are still VERY respectable.
