    Let me introduce my 318is

    Hi!

I've recently joined your community, here are a few pics of my daily driver, a German made 318is (07/1990), imported in France in May 2004.

A few description to begin. I used to drive a 1985 323i and I were looking for 15" BBS weels. In France, those wheels are sold between 200 and 400 € for a full set. For 600 € (750 $ today), I found 5 weels... with a full 318is around :)

The car were with winter tires and it had a little accident a few month ago, during winter. The left side were littly damaged. I bought it with a damaged front wing, a damaged driver door and a quickly repaired rear wing.

During June 2004, I bought a crasched 318is for parts, an AlpinWeiss one. I changed the damaged door and wing by those ones, and beleive me, white on black... is really flashy :( I planned to make a complet repaint, but I don't have the money yet.

I love options and equipments, but, if possible, only from BMW. When I bought the car, there were not to many options. My 318is had from factory :
    - Front light adjustment (standard for 318is in Germany, not functionnal)
    - MTech I steering wheel (standard for 318is)
    - Leather shifter (standard for 318is)
    - Front fog lights (standard?)
    - Manuel Sunroof (option)
    - 15" BBS wheels (option)
    - K7 holder (option)

Since I bought my car, I drove about 25 000 km (15 500 miles). I've added many options, some of them are not finished yet :
    - Sport seats (OEM, from the white 318is)
    - Small OBC (OEM, from the white 318is)
    - Rear armrest (OEM, from the white 318is)
    - Central locking system (OEM, from the white 318is)
    - Power steering (OEM, from the white 318is)
    - Rear windows opening (OEM)
    - Power sunroof conversion (OEM, not finished)
    - Air conditionning (OEM, not finished)
    - Check control (OEM, not finished)
    - Inside mirror with read lights (OEM)
    - Rear sunroll (OEM, not installed yet)
    - MTech II steering wheel (OEM, 380mm from an E34 M5)
    - IS front lip (OEM)
    - Power windows (adaptable... but I've just bought some OEM parts)
    - Sport springs (Apex -60mm front, stock Mtech -15/20mm rear)
    - Sport discs (Zimmermann, crossed drilled; not installed yer)
    - Clear front blinkers (MHW)

    Planned :
    - Leather (OEM?)
    - Xenon (Hella adaptable)
    - Performance chip
    - Sport exaust
    - Sport shocks made for my front springs
    - Stiffer silentblocs

Yeasterday, I installed back my black door, it's greater. I'm now looking for a black wing... waiting to find enough money for the paint.

All comments are welcome :) I apologize for my bad English... sorry :)

    See U,

    Thomas

stance=the way the car sits, basically the ride height.

Thx a lot :) Waiting for the sun now to make greater pics.

On the 1st and the 4th pics, it's a radial blur made with Photoshop :)

Funny how your car is stock except for springs, but over here if one of our cars looked like that it would be considered to have a ton of mods. In other words, you suck and its just not fair.

Don't say such things!!! You forgot that I still have a with wing (front left) :) Those pics always shows the passenger side, if you pay attention :)

And, if your car is in your sig, it already looks like that, isnt'it?

                          See you,
