Badass, I definitely want to do a cross country trip as well. Although I think I will plan a vacation around it so that I can stop at select destinations on the way.

                  Thanks for the comments everyone.

NO, the car I bought from a guy off craigslist, but YES, the wheels are from Levents car but I bought them off of Vlad, I think they look great, with some different spacers they'll be perfect!

As for fuel, I was averaging about 345 miles to the tank, obviously less during climbs, and more during plains. I also have the 2.73 LSD, and basically cruised at 70mph the whole way! The entire trip from NJ to CA only cost me $310 in gas with the e30!! The previous time I went cross country I drove my Toyota Tundra quad cab and it cost me $980 in fuel! And the first time I did it I drove my Ford Explorer and it cost me $840...and that was years ago when gas was down!

As for the lack of sleep, let me tell you I wouldn't advise anyone to take the trip in this way, I was exhausted! I've already gone cross country twice with my wife and we took it slower and did it in 4 days without kids and 5 days with my oldest son who's now 7.

As I said before, I only took it so fast because when I go back east shortly to get my wife and kids I know we'll be making the trip back out here to CA in double that!

Looks like it was a lot of fun. Never driven that far with so little sleep...

I remember I drove to Bozeman MT from Milwaukee and then back again in a weekend. In a lifted Jeep Wrangler. With no 5th gear overdrive. Had to sell a guitar, whole trip cost like $850. Something like 2700 miles

Waves were great down in ventura, surfed zero's the day after I got there, exhausted, arms were like jelly, and of course it was going off, 5-7ft and clean with perfect lefts, I could only muster enough energy for about 2 hours, then I was wasted! My two favorite spots down there are county line and zero's. Where I'm currently staying in a suburb of Sacramento called Elk Grove, it's more inland than I've ever been, and frankly I don't like it one bit!
