    Cross country in 2.5 days

So I'm now in CA, and my little bimmer did great on the trip, not even a hiccup! I spent last week in Ventura county and now I'm up near Sacramento. I took the time to do the prep and she ran great from NJ straight out to CA in two and a half days, driving nonstop except for food and fuel! I've driven the southern route twice now so I decided to take rte 70 this time. My buddy Dave came along and shared in some driving and I dropped him off in St George UT and kept going. Here's some pics of the trip:

All packed up and ready to go:

Dave and the bimmer in the hills of Pennsylvania:

Leaving Ohio, wish I woulda caught that blown tailight, didn't get a ticket but we did get a "Warning"

Letting her get some air at a rest stop

    A whole lotta nothing

Me and bimmer in St George UT dropping off Dave

    Almost to CA!

Damn what an adventure. I want to take the E30 on an adventure one day. More justification to the cause.

Yeah, it was a fun trip in the e30, but my back isn't happy we didn't stop more, and for longer! Yeah, I was a little concerned for the car with driving straight through, but the temp stayed pretty cool out most of the trip and the car did great! I only slept 90 minutes total during the trip, so I've been getting some good sleep since!

I'm flying back east and getting my wife and kids and packing up a trailer and doing it all over again, this time stopping every hour I'm sure so my 3 little boys can pee, and run around and get their energy out!

I do alot of long distance driving as well. It would be awesome if these cars get 35+mpg or if I had a extended range fuel tank.

Every time I see these threads I wish I was just out of college, making money to afford the gas for such trips, and having a life style where I can just do this while still having the job that affords me the gas.

No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan.
