If you like fast cars, but you "hate" manual transmission, you're either lying, or haven't given it a chance. There is no conceivable way a sports car enthusiast could hate MT unless they are a paraplegic.Leave a comment:

hehehehehe
Please put the VW motor in your cabbie, it's a match made in heaven! But make sure you mount it transversely so it fits right, I'm sure you like torque steer just as much as you love your slushboxes.
PS: I love my e36 m3...Why so much unfounded teenage hate towards these perfectly capable cars?
fuckin e36s so fuckin new n shit they don't have no cred fuck theres so many of them they got no fender flares what bullshit why do I hate them I don't even know fuck but I sure want that motor!?!?
Thanks for reading my drivel, please continue flaming this kid...Leave a comment:

This thread made my night. I just read the whole thing and it was so worth it.
So much fail and so much
.
I personally don't think any s14 should be removed from its car because e30 m3s are getting to be too rare to rip apart like that. If it keeps happening there will be none left in another 10 years. It's especially said when they're being used like this.
Anyway looks like OP is realizing how shitty his plan is and backing out on the idea.Leave a comment:

oh yeah...AFAIK, the "Factory Reman S14" was NLA as of sometime in 2004...but this kid is a baller (a real shot-caller) so he can likely get BMW to make him one, or get the whole ///Motorsport division FIRED!
'cause that is how he rolls...Leave a comment:

Please do, I'd be curious to know, just for the lulz.
OP, in case you haven't priced out M3 parts lately, they are STUPID expensive. M3 door sills, those plastic things? $395 EACH. For a little, thin strip of plastic...
Now I'm not going to rip on you or some shit, but let me just say this:
I know a thing or two about convertibles. An S14 is not a motor you want in a convertible. It has very little torque and you have to rev the piss out of it to make any power. It's perfect for a lightweight, rigid chassis like the M3. It is not good for the heavy, floppy chassis of a convertible. What you want is torque, i.e. some kind of 6 or 8 cylinder motor.
Also, please, for christ's sake, don't cut out any of the metal bracing in the car. It was put there for a reason, a real engineering reason. If you remove it you'll be left with nothing but a limp, wet noodle of a car. First bump you hit will make it shake like a college chick's ass at 1am the day after final exams. It will then get pounded, shoved out of bed at 7am and probably have an STI. So just don't.
Also there is no way you're ever going to get anything to bolt up to an S14 except for the G240. Period. Please just accept that fact of life.Last edited by CorvallisBMW; 08-23-2010, 05:37 PM.Leave a comment:
