Searousely.. I will not be drooling over an S14 or a chopped up cabby anytime soon.

    EDIT

How are we the idiots all of a sudden? You joined up to show off your kewl car didn't you? That would imply that you had no one else to show it off to, which means you needed an affirmation of kewl-ness right? Which in itself isn't a bad thing, we all do it, its fun to show off our beater E30's. But when you don't like what people think about you or your car you get mad, call us out, and make your friends back you up which just further perpetuates this insecure "daddy-buys-me-stuff-looky-looky" complex that you seem to have. That is why you got so upset upon learning your "M3" wasn't of true pedigree even though "THE TITLE SAYS M3 ON IT!"

    lulz

    OP:

For real though I was thinking while at work today. You can get a S62 swap for around 8 grand, why not put one of those in the cabby? I mean I am assuming your daddy is paying for all of it anyway, why not put a REAL engine in it? Since the E30 is just a bucket of outdated dinosaur parts compared to God's gift (E36 "M3") why not step it up? Hell I think they even come with paddle shift! Its perfect! Don't you see?!

Gotta hand it to you though, I'm surprised you've lasted this long, especially considering you had to call in the troops to back you up. Good luck with the death trap.

HAHAHA its funny how EVERY FORUM USER... regardless of where, or why,"goes straight to the "mom and dad pay" card. I mean really now? im sorry all of you are butt hurt that i dont want to listen to a bunch of idiots on a forum. I have my own way of doing things, AS DO ALL OF YOU, and im sticking to it. Its NOT your car so why the hell are any of you worried about what I'm doing to it? Why do you bunch of "Adults" or "Men" insist on continuing this bash? you call me a "little kid" yet here I am, talking to a bunch of 5 year olds that are pissed that they cant get thier way.

Seriously I cant wait till people like you are drooling over the finished product, because when it comes right down to it thats whats gunna happen. You'll all talk your trash through the build (JUST LIKE THE GENIUSES OVER AT SOCAEURO.COM) And when its done you'll be the same ones taking pictures of every angle. this is the second time so im used to the attention.

I think you're pride in owning a car badged an "M3" is getting in the way of seeing what it is. We were talking motor specific before you brought the chassis into it. So based on that... the m3's engine IS just a supped up m52.

The suspension is better than a non M e36... but I'm guessing it's not a whole lot better than an e30 on Billy's and H&R's.

As for the e30 with motor swap being faster... you can't really be serious thinking the e36 is faster. You're just f'ing with us right? Think about the sheer weight difference. Thank you for the compliments on my turbo car, it took alot of work. But as I said even my car is a bit faster than an e36 m3 and is worth about the same. I was offered $8500 for it and if the guy can come up with the money, I will sell it.

Any comment on here about the e36 US market not being a "real m3" is directed at the motor. You would have to agree to that effect that it is an m52 with a bit more displacement and hotter cams. The e36 m3 is a nice car but I preferred my e46 323ci to the e36 m3...

This was never about the E36 being some amazing car, just about correcting fan boy nonsense. The fact that butt hurt E30 owners start acting like I'm saying the car is some godly car just reinforces my point.
Stop taking our words and using them as your own. We called YOU butthurt first and we called YOU fanboys first, you cannot just simply turn them around and start using them against us!

Just go back where you came from, you have made your point and it has fallen on deaf ears (no one cares).

As for the dude above who is like "I'm willing to bet that my S50 swapped E30 can out handle any E36 M3" - how much are you willing to bet?

We've all made our "arguments," but like most who are too dead set to see any opinion but their own as the possible correct one... you don't HEAR them.

I was making point after point, and even conceding that the engine is a good one (hell it gets swapped into tons of e30's here)... but you still went on ranting and raving about how awesome the M3 is.

I was explaining that it's a "real" M3, no matter how many fan boys try to talk trash. That is all.

All this talk and only one update? Sounds like someone's daddy is going to make him send this poor 'vert to the crusher and stop littering his pretentious little driveway with his son's sad excuse to keep his friends around. I can't imagine no matter how spoiled you are that your family will allow a cut-up, half trashed beater to reduce homeowner value for any extended period of time.

I've seen entirely too many people show up on forums, run thier mouths about all the shit they are going to do and end up falling on thier face when they realize that the concepts are out of thier budget. Budget means physical, mental and financial.

I'll be happy to be proven wrong, but somehow I doubt it.

It is a pretty quick car, just like an S5x-swapped E30 is a quick car. Neither is fast, in my book. Modified to a similar level an E36 M3 is very planted and easy to drive quickly and near the limit, and offers great brakes and tire options.
