I don't remember where I found it. I was looking for pics of bottlecaps with spacers and when I stumbled across it I thought to myself "oh that's sick" and saved it.

OP your car can look really cool. I think you need some 9" wide wheels and some slight negative camber to pull it off. Something with a bronze finish perhaps? I like different.

This might be harsh but the attention you are receiving is indeed negative. There isn't a single aesthetically pleasing aspect to your car so please don't try to argue that it's not true. If in some strange way the clashing junk on your car is appealing to you please don't talk about our "closed-mindedness" and try to make us accept it.

It all seems pretty positive to me, but I guess thats because I can read. I am only assuming you have trouble with the english language due to the fact that you missed all of the positive statements in this thread. But its okay if you did, I will quote some for you below. There are a lot of people on here with good words of encouragement, compliments and ideas. Then there are a small handful of people such as yourself that are very vocal in your distaste. But I am was talking about anyones close mindedness. As your faithful leader Josh Anderson pointed out, I knew when I made this thread some people would not like it. I just didn't expect a seemingly mature forum to start a flamewar on it, but I can take it, no big deal. I don't mind whatsoever the people who say they don't like it and such. I do however laugh pretty hard at the people who just cannot understand what anybody would see in it or think that I am ruining such a good car. I mean come on, its not like its a Ferrari, hell, its not even like its a G35 or something, its a 24 year old BMW. Sure, they are nice cars and I love mine, but come on!..lol.

Anyways, I guess the way my mom brought me up was if I don't have something nice to say then don't say anything. Too bad you didn't learn those values.

thats sorta cool in its own little way
I can dig it up to the rear wheel arch... Needs spacers, but ultimately bigger wheels. Otherwise, I'd drive it
i like your approach, glad to see theres more with reliability as a priority
Cant say +1 for originality, but- its cool none the less
I like it, I will like it more with some different wheels
Awesome!! I think it looks great!

        Keep it up.
i really like it except for the funky side skirt thing..... i dont like the idea of turning a good condition car into one of these, but if its already rough around the edges, i think its awesome
Might as well have some cheap fun with it if it already looks like ass. I think the skirts go well with the ratty look.
        I like it!
It's not a "Cream Puff E30" to start out with, and will need a ton of cash to make it one, so why not have fun with it!
        i likee, nice 5panel
i dig it, fuck the haters, not every e30 needs an 'is lip & staggered bbs, that shit is played.
I dig it! Also the fact that you`ve recovered it so to speak is awesome as well. Bigger wheels and it would be money, I definately like the black with red lips though
The e30 rocks the rat rod look nicely...hmmm
Same it has a 50's hot rod look too imo.
looks good man....go with what you like, sometimes you just gotta have fun with it
        Your the Man!
this is kind of the direction im looking at with my car
OP your car can look really cool. I think you need some 9" wide wheels and some slight negative camber to pull it off. Something with a bronze finish perhaps? I like different.

Clearly you simply crave any sort of attention at all, whether it be negative or positive.

You could slap on chrome hubcaps and paint match your car to dog shit (hard to think of something on par) and there would still always be a few kind people saying "interesting, kudos for being different, nice try..." That's how forums are...

Your car isn't any different from a JDM rice bucket with a crazy body kit and fartcan. There's not one angle from which it's pleasing to the eye and it's all thrown together to gather the maximum amount of attention possible. Sure they get compliments out on the street too (or they wouldn't do it) but does that mean shit?

Sorry for being a huge tool but for some reason this car is especially revolting to me, and I'm a huge fan of the stance/rat scene.

Whats up with the airfreshner hanging from the frount bumper?

Did you get a pic with it parked with the $100,000 plus cars??
Good luch with your project. I understand some of us have tight budgets to work with.

How exactly does one get this rusty look ?
Does this destroy the panels completely over time?
                      N.

Ahh gotcha. The whole hood was sanded down to bare metal. Then I sprayed it with a mix of saltwater and hydrogen peroxide. I let it weather further about a week and then I baked it in a paint booth to remove all the moisture and then clear coated it. This will severely retard the spread of the rust since there will be no air or moisture getting to it anymore. It's something I of course will keep an eye on, but worst case scenerio hoods are cheap and easy to come by so I'm not worried.

And to answer the previous question about the air freshener on the front valance, it's not hung there, just leaned it up against it when I took the pic to show my friend a scale on the ride height.

And yes. It was shown right with all kinds of exotics and was right across from a Rolls Royce.

This is something I was wondering about since I first saw this trend...

OP I like the way your going but if I may: Get rid of the air freshener, Bumper swap, and get rid of skirts. And I bet it would look better with a better paint job. Other than that I like it, Different. Good too see something different on this site.

I think you should rock some staggered schmidt th-lines. Then the car would really pull off the look.

Do you have any good pics of the roof rack with the fairing mounted? I noticed you put one on in another thread.
