Your comments are all very much appreciated guys. Sorry I haven't answered back to anyone's questions yet, this is the first time in 2 days I've been coherent enough to actually post something longer than a sentence. To answer Skafrog and Diego, I bought the eta because the car is in awesome comdition, and it's the exact configuration I wanted. Early model with smaller tails, iS front airdam, sport interior, etc. It doesn't really matter to me that it's an eta, because for one thing, it's much faster than any stock eta I've driven. Not only is the entire head and all the internals brand new at 139k, but it's got an awesome Magnaflow exhaust that not only sounds great, but I'm sure unlocked at least a few horsies. For now, I just plan to chip the engine, but I will be swapping it to a built i motor later. As far as the diving boards go, I plan to paint them black and tuck them. I've seen a few black early-model E30's with this done, and it really does look good. With a black car, you hardly notice them. I've also got the slightly-smaller 88 rear bumper en-route from Ely.
As far as large mods go, I plan to paint/tuck the bumpers, upgrade the suspension and lower the car, make up my mind on wheels, and perform the i engine swap. While I'm doing the engine swap, I also plan to rebuild the shift linkage (pretty sloppy), check out the clutch, and replace any worn engine/tranny components as needed.
For the smaller stuff, I'd like to get some euro grilles, shadowline the window trim, install my ACS pedals, make a gauge pod similar to Jordan's for the center vents (not as elaborate) and have oil pressure, oil temp, and volt gauges. I also plan to get an M3 rear seat, a set of Rob Schiering's ebrake and shift boots w/ the ///M stitching. That's all I can think of right now. :DComment
